My daughter, Hailey, is 24 years old and has been diagnosed with Lupus for 5 years. She has had to endure multiple surgeries, including open heart surgery, since her diagnosis.

Lupus has taken away her ability to hold a job, follow her dreams with college and a career shes always longed for, and recently she has learned she may not be able to have children (which is something she has always wanted).

I've watched my once vibrant, happy-go-lucky baby girl suffers much sickness and pain and overall heartbreak and I would switch places with her in an instant.

We are lucky to have some support with some of her medical bills but her recent decline in health has put a strain on everyone. In order to continue with care from her nephrologists, she has to pay a substantial bill she acquired during her previous 3 week hospital stay a week after her stroke.
