Lydia's Story

My Sister Lydia is a ten year old girl who was diagnosed with Autism at the age of two. Lydia comes from a big family there are 8 of us 5 girls and 3 boys. Our Parents are Linda and Aaron Galliher. Over the years things have not always been easy for Lydia or our family. Our Mom can not work due to Lydia needing around the clock care. Our Father is the sole income to support the family. Lydia is Non verbal, needs help with daily feedings, baths, diaper changings and is an escape artist so she must be watched around the clock. Recently Lydia had a setback. She went into a deep meltdown and was harming herself. She was admitted to Childrens Hospital Autism Psychiatric Unit. When Lydia is well enough to return home she will continue to need around the clock care. There are things that Our family will need in order to care for her and to keep her safe. My Parents are working on a sensory room hoping to help calm and relax her when needed. We could use all the help we can get. Any donation would help us as a family get the things Lydia needs on returning home. Thank you for reading and Please share with your family and friends.
