Hello family and friends near and far! I do not know if you know this but I have been diagnosied with a mulitude of illness. In May of 2018 I noticed my eyes where very senstive to light and my legs where not moving like a normal person would. Meaning I had problems getting into a truck and just walking like a normal person.

I ended up being in a hospital where I was diagnosed with Lithium toxicty. I took lithium for over 23 years due to being diagnosed Bipolar. Later when I was transferred to Emory University Hospital I was given the added diagnosis of Lupus of the skin and kidneys. I was in the hospital for four months. When I came out I was in a wheelchair, using a walker and AFO's. My voice box had been affected also. So I no longer have the same speaking voice. My voice is a lot louder and I have a speech impediment. It also was considered incontinent in the hospital.

I improved over into 2019. Even to the point where I could walk on my own. Across a room without holding on to anything. I would still have bladder accidents.

I would always tell my doctors that I felt I had edema (swelling of the legs) and my feet were always cold. When the edema got really bad, that was March of 2020, when COVID-19 shut things down in the United States and all over the World. Well, I could not see my doctor.

Fast forward to 2021. At that time I knew that lupus was affected by the heat but I did not know the cold could affect it also. Long story short I ended up with gangrene in all of my toes and part of my feet. I had to have the part that had the gangrene amputated. I was further diagnosed with vasculartis lupus. This type of lupus affects the veins. It really affected my toes and feet.

Regardless of all of that I have had a tremendous support system with friends, families, especially Emory Dekalb Hospital. Emory University Hospital was the first hospital that diagnosed me with lupus and Emory Dekalb Hospital did the surgery and I made it all the way through there intensive re-hab program!

I am starting this crowdsourcing fund raiser to bring in donations towards my care. Right now I need 24 round the clock care to prevent falls and further hurting myself. I also have a lot of neurological issues. I will have a lot of Physical Therapy (PT), Occupational Therapy (OT), and Speech Therapy (ST) to do for the next year or more. I also have to keep a very clean environment due to the types of lupus I have. There are also unexpected lupus flare ups that you never can predict. The disease has also ravaged my teeth and gums.
