Manual Pump Kits
Hurricane Helene has devastated parts of Georgia, North Caolina and Tennesee. These areas were not forecasted to be hard-hit and many families were caught in dire circumstances with little warning or chance to prepare. Families who exclusively pump human milk for their infants are projected to be without power for at least 2 weeks or more. Without power it is not possible to use an electric pump and these families will not only struggle to feed their infants, but lactating mothers are at risk of mastitis and losing their milk supply. Infant formula is sold out and there is not clean water to prepare it with. I am raising funds to send bulk purchases of manual breast pumps, battery packs for electric pumps, paper cups for cup-feeding, sanitizing wipes for pump parts, flange-inserts since those may have been lost in storm damage, and gallon ziplock bags to put everything in. I anticipate these kits to cost approximately $40/kit and would like to send supplies for as many as possible. Any amount you can spare is appreciated!
