I never imagined I’d be writing something like this. My family recently experienced a house fire that completely destroyed my childhood home. In just a few hours, the place that shaped my entire life — decades of memories, photos, keepsakes, and comfort — was gone.

This house was more than just a home. It’s where I grew up, where holidays were celebrated, where our family gathered, and where so many moments I’ll always carry with me took place. Losing it so suddenly has been heartbreaking and overwhelming in ways that are hard to put into words.

Right now, we’re doing our best to navigate the shock of it all while figuring out temporary living arrangements, replacing basic necessities, and starting the long and uncertain process of rebuilding. I also need to travel back and forth to support my family as we handle arrangements and next steps, and some of the funds raised will help cover those travel expenses.
