My name is Ashley, and this is my first time trying a crowdfunding campaign. On November 17th, I noticed a horrible sound coming from my car, and decided to drive it to the mechanics. My husband, Matt, followed me in his car, so that he could take me home after we dropped mine off.

The trip was less than 2 miles from our home. Less than 3 minutes from the mechanics, my front driver's side wheel suddenly snapped off, bringing my car to an immediate, unannounced halt in the road. My husband, with no indication that I had come to a stop, could not brake in time. Both our vehicles were badly damaged, his car taking the worst of it. Insurance has deemed it a total loss, and the amount they have issued is less than we owe on it. 

The total amount of what we need to get us back on the road is more than we have. And both of us need to be able to travel for work. After having exhausted other options, including attempting to get a personal loan, which we were denied by multiple lenders, this is our last hope. If we meet the goal of this fundraiser, the money will go to paying off the gap, and putting at least one of us back into a car. If you can find it in your heart, and your ability, to donate to us, we would be beyond grateful.
