Meadowview Farms Sign

As many of you know, our neighboorhood sign is worn, dated, and the landscaping around it has become seriously overgrown. Several neighbors have come together to form a committee and volunteer their time to beautify this neighborhood space. Many of you have asked about how to help with the improvements being made, and since we do not have an HOA (for which most of us are thankful), we are using this free fundraising platform to help raise the money needed for the improvements.

Money donated through this platform goes into a neighborhood bank account established by Karen Hamby and Christy Childers. If you are not comfortable giving through this online platform, cash or checks can be given to Karen Hamby or Christy Childers to deposit into the neighborhood account. Checks need to be made out to Karen or Christy so they can be deposited.

There are several different parts to this project, so we have done our best to estimate the cost for each portion.

1) New sign $250

The letters on the current Meadowview Farms sign are vinyl and peeling.

2) Pressure wash, repair & whitewash brick $150

There are multiple areas of weather wear on the current brick structure.

3) Solar lighting $200

Used to illuminate the sign at night.

4) Removal of overgrown trees $100

To make the sign clearly visable.

5) New landscaping around sign $300

We are planning to place rocks, shrubs, and perennial flowers that will bloom throughout the different seasons. The goal is to select landscaping that needs the least amount of yearly maintenance. This is the portion of the budget that is the most difficult to estimate due to the large variation in pricing for these items. More funds will allow for more landscaping/ more mature shrubs, etc. Less money = less landscaping.
