Med school Panama trip!
Hi everyone!
Myself, along with 20 other first year medical students at the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine, will be heading to Bocas Del Toro, Panama, at the end of May to help serve rural communities there in combination with Floating Doctors. I'm fundraising to help support the fees associated with supplying medication, keeping boots on the ground (doctors in the area), and to help keep this community as healthy as possible. I've absolutely loved my first year of medical school, and I am so excited to put all of the skills and knowledge that I've gained to work in order to help serve communities abroad, as well as those around me in Maine. I took part in a few trips similar to this while I was an undergraduate student, and I can truly say that they were a huge part of what made me fall in love with medicine. Thank you so much for your support, I can't wait to show you all how incredible this experience is.
