My wife has degenerative disc disease, polycystic ovarian syndrome, major bowel issues, has had multiple surgeries on her back, with more to come, she needs surgery on her neck, surgery on both hands because she lacks feeling in both and possible yet to be diagnosed autoimmune diseases. She needs pain management but with Medicaid, they won't treat her and the ones that will want $350 up front just to see her. This woman was the hardest worker I have ever known until she got sick. She loves to a fault, to the the point that people, including some of her own family, take advantage of her love and kindness. I, her husband, also have medical issues but they can't be dealt with until Karie is healthy, so I'm supporting a family of 3 on $16 an hour. We barely make month to month. We have a 13 year old daughter that has feet issues as well that deserves to be out playing and being a kid but she can't because of her medical issues and because I'm constantly working to keep us afloat and her mother is basically bed bound other than getting up to go to the bathroom.
