My husband and I are moving so that we can get the space needed to bring in physical therapy and other caregivers. . The problem is that the new apartment is not set up to accommodate his Parkinson's. In order to make it so that he is as comfortable and independent as possible, we need to get various aids such as a tub transfer bench, grab bars and an electric bed etc. He does have Medicare and they will be paying about $1500 of the cost but that still leaves somewhere between $2000 to $2500 that I we will need to come up with.
