Medical Funds for Jr
Tuesday April 4th Jr fell 15 feet off a makeshift scaffold composed of two 10ft ladders and a piece of wood that was 12ft long by 2ft wide. Jr does not have insurance nor did his employer have Workers Comp.
Jr was working for a gentleman making custom patio covers, an extra set of hands was needed for the day and the gentleman (we will call him John) that was hired for the day did not have construction experience. Jr was already on the "makeshift scaffold" putting the hardy on the ceiling when John was climbing up the ladder to help Jr when he lost his balance and pushed off the wall that was in front of him making the scaffold along with Jr fall 15ft.
Upon taking him to the ER we were told he broke both heels and he will have to be transported to Tomball hospital. He had to stay overnight and was released from the hospital the evening of April 5th and was told due to the severe swelling he needed to wait two weeks and make a follow up appointment with the referred orthopaedic doctor once the swelling goes down.
Once Jr saw the referred doctor he was told his right heel was broken in one spot but will repair it's self with time and will have to wear a boot. For his left foot he would have to have surgery on because he completely shattered that heel and will have to stay in a splint.
He had surgery on Wednesday April 19th and is now back at home in a lot of pain and resting as much as he can. His follow up appointment is on May 5th and we will find out more information about how long he will be on bedrest and other information.
The medical bills are going to be a lot more than we can afford. Now having only one income to pay all the bill's even with me getting a second job our bill's will be more than we can afford. All funds received will be going towards Jr's medical costs. Any donation is greatly appreciated!
