This summer, I am thrilled to be part of a medical mission in Mombasa, Kenya, organized by International Medical Aid. During this mission, I am dedicated to enhancing healthcare access in an underserved community while further developing my clinical skills.

As an alumnus of St. John Fisher University with a degree in Finance, I bring a unique perspective to the world of healthcare. My involvement in various campus and national organizations, including membership in Pi Kappa Phi fraternity, participation in the St. John Fisher Student Alumni Association, engagement with the St. John Fisher Investment Club, and service as a committee member for the St. John Fisher Teddi Dance for Love, has instilled in me a deep commitment to community service and leadership.

Additionally, I am a Registered Pharmacy Technician with five years of progressive healthcare experience, starting from nursing care and leading to my current role in acute care pharmacy. My passion for healthcare has driven me to actively engage in research projects aimed at improving patient outcomes, such as 'Real-world use of venetoclax in combination with a hypomethylating agent or low-dose cytarabine for myeloid leukemias' and 'Hepatitis B Immune Globulin utilization in patients presenting to the Emergency Department following sexual assault.'

To advance my career goals, I plan to pursue a post-baccalaureate health program before applying to professional health schools. Ultimately, I aspire to become a pediatric trauma surgeon or specialize in critical care/emergency medicine pharmacy.

My journey in healthcare, coupled with my dedication to community service and leadership, has solidified my commitment to making a meaningful impact in the field of medicine. Through the upcoming medical mission in Kenya and my continued pursuit of education and research, I am devoted to driving positive change in healthcare access and patient care.

I eagerly anticipate the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead on my path to becoming a pediatric trauma surgeon or a critical care/emergency medicine pharmacist, all while maintaining a steadfast commitment to the spirit of service.
