My name is Yvonne Griems, and about a month ago, my life changed suddenly after being involved in a serious car accident. What started as a normal day quickly turned into a medical emergency that has affected every part of my life.

As a result of the accident, I suffered a fractured leg, severe back and neck injuries, and a concussion. I was transported by ambulance to the hospital, where I received emergency treatment, imaging, and ongoing medical care. Since then, I have been attending follow-up appointments, physical therapy, and specialist visits to begin the long process of recovery. My doctors have also informed me that I will need continued treatment and rehabilitation in the coming months.

Unfortunately, my health insurance has denied coverage for several essential medical expenses, including ambulance transportation, portions of my emergency care, specialist visits, physical therapy, and necessary medical equipment. These uncovered expenses have left me facing overwhelming medical bills totaling approximately $35,000.

Due to my injuries, I am currently unable to work, which has made it extremely difficult to keep up with both medical and everyday living expenses. This situation has not only affected me physically, but also emotionally and mentally, as I work to adjust to the challenges of recovery.

I have always been a hardworking and independent person, and it is very difficult for me to ask for help. However, at this time, I am facing circumstances beyond my control, and I cannot manage these expenses alone.
