I’m Puja Dhakal, an international student from Nepal currently pursuing my Doctorate in Business Administration. Recently, I faced a challenging health crisis that required both appendicitis surgery and a complex back surgery. The recovery has been extremely tough, with my body fighting to heal from both major operations. While I’ve been doing my best to remain optimistic and focused on my studies, the reality of dealing with the constant pain and the limitations on my physical movement has been overwhelming. It’s disheartening when, as an aspiring student trying to make a better future, I’m held back by circumstances beyond my control.

Unfortunately, being far from home in the U.S., I don’t have the same kind of support network that I would back in Nepal, and the medical bills are piling up quickly. Despite having health insurance, the coverage is far from sufficient to meet the cost of these emergency surgeries and ongoing care. I’m reaching out to you for help in this challenging time; any contribution towards my medical fund would not only help me afford my recovery but would also allow me to continue focusing on my dreams of education and making a positive impact in the world.
