Hey! If you're seeing this, you're among the lucky friends/family of Meg Bishop a.k.a. Meg Chilton a.k.a. Jeff Stroker. So, you might already know these things about her:

1. Meg's birthday is in December.
2. She is a massive book nerd.
3. She has been all about unicorns since an early age. I've seen the childhood drawings, they're pretty good.
4. Her favorite fantasy novel is The Last Unicorn by Peter Beagle. People of our generation often know about this through the very odd and memorable Rankin-Bass animated movie, which is cool, but the book is better - that's just a fact. Meg is also a Peter Beagle fan in general and we've gone to see him at readings and such.

Anyway... the Folio Society, makers of very fancy limited-edition illustrated books, just did a big gorgeous version of The Last Unicorn. It is possibly the ultimate Meg birthday present and it's also kind of pricey. Would you like to chip in for it and make it a group present? She's getting the present no matter what, but every little bit helps, and I'll include a list of everyone along with any messages you feel like writing.

(A few years ago, there was a similar situation where Meg wanted to get me a big collector's edition of Riddley Walker, and she sweetly organized a group like this to do it. Believe it or not, we still have a little shelf space after that.)
