We are so deeply saddened by the passing of our dear friend, Matthew Craig on November 16, 2020. Matthew grew up in El Paso and attended Andress High School. When I say he was one of the smartest people I knew, it's no exaggeration. He was an advanced student and graduated high school in 3 years. After graduating, Matthew attended NMSU and received a Bachelor's Degree in Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Management. He worked in retail for many years, traveling to other cities for temporary visual merchandising jobs. He found his calling in the tattoo industry as a piercer, most recently at Done N Cane Tattoo and Piercing.

Matthew enjoyed hiking and camping, and loved to spend time with his dad, Doug, his brothers Raymond and Kris and his two nephews. He was such an incredible, selfless person, always lending an ear or hand to a friend in need. He was caring and compassionate and always knew what to say or do to make a bad day turn to good and always tried to help solve any problem his friends may have had.

Because of Matthew's unexpected passing and the fact that he didn't have any type of life insurance to help soften the blow of funeral expenses, his parents are left to plan and pay for a funeral for their son. The grief and pain we are all feeling right now is difficult to grasp, but in this time of crisis we must come together as a group in support of a man who was always there for a friend in need. We have set up this fundraiser for his mom, Laura, and are hoping that we can raise enough money to give Matthew the memorial he deserves. Any and all funds will go directly to his mom so that she can use them as she needs.

Matthews family had a viewing for him on Sunday, November 29,2020. He will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date. This page will be updated as that information is released.
