JOHN Pena
Disabled Mom&Son Homeless

This is my family who is stuck in the horrible homeless cycle.
The two people are my sister, Shannon (53 years old) and her son Todd (27 years old) who takes care of her. Thier issue is not criminal, alcohol, drugs and are none smoking. They are both believers of Jesus, but they struggle with mental issues and depression. Shannon has been on social security her whole life due to seizers and Lupus. Todd had a decent job in Delaware but suffered a neck injury and it took him out of work for weeks. They were not able to pay their rent and had to move out on March 31st. After a few days in a hotel, they concluded they could not afford to live in Delaware and went to Jacksonville, NC for work and affordable living. They have been in a hotel since while seeking work. **UPDATE **Todd had located a job and is now working.
We are asking you to help and need to demonstrate love in action and help them with deposits for a place so Todd can continue working and have a safe place for his mom while gone. Our God is one of second chances and mercy. If you are wondering what we are doing to help. The family is doing all we can but we are both on fixed incomes and are very financially strained. We are praying for help with the apt deposits plus rent, power, and other utilities so $1000. Beyond financial we ask for prayer for Gods hand lifting them up, to comfort the fear. Praise and thanks to all who have given and for Todds new job.
