Within days a small bump on Mia grew into a much larger mass that the vet identified as a mammary tumor, she recommended surgery asap. Normally, this would be a huge setback, but especially now as I prepare to move out-of-state for a new job. Anything you give would be such a huge blessing to us.

[Unnecessary anime-like back story: I was searching through the list of adoptable dogs in class while a classmate harassed one of our professors about their qualifications, and I saw this adorable girl. When a friend and I went to the foster home where she was she immediately ran up to me and rubbed her head against me, as she has continued to do for about the last 8 years. Mia has moved with me 6 times, she's used her body to keep me warm while I slept in my car, she has been a stable source of love and care for my community. Even people that are afraid of dogs fall in love with her big brown eyes and sweet, soft spirit. Keeping Mia healthy is like tending to a garden of fur and cuddles.]
