Hi! I'm Micael, I'm a 22-year old transgender man studying the anthropology of food at Hampshire College (class of 2020 babie!) and I need to get some things off my chest! (har har)

I've been in a sort of limbo with my transition for a few years. I started testosterone five years ago and that's just sort of where I've been. I've gotten to this point before: making the fundraiser, but chickening out at the last second - it's scary! But here I am, ready to finally take the next step.

My goal is to get top surgery before my graduation in mid-May 2020. I want graduation pictures that I can look back on without flinching, without feeling a disconnect from my own self. 

!!!!!!!!!THIS CHANGED SEE UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!! The amount reflected as the goal here may change. My insurance is changing in June, I'm planning on using some amount of care credit and my own personal savings. It also depends on the surgeon and if insurance accepts them as in-network. I'm in Western Mass and it's a bit sparse for surgeons who do gender reaffirming surgery. Currently, $7000 (AS OF 2/7, $3500) is my goal.
