Our car loan has matured but the remaining balance due is $2857.22, which we do not have right now. We had intentions of using out tax refund to take care of this. Since then we have found out we are victims of identity theft and our refund is being held for investigation up to 582 days per IRS. The excess amount is due to a heart attack and stroke which caused 2 missed payments and of course the additional interest and late fees they associated. Our loan was through a subprime lender and they are not giving us any lienancy in the matter. So here I am begging for any help in this matter. I am still awaiting approval of my disability claim due to a hypoxic TBI. Thanks and I am really sorry to put anyone reading this in an awkward position. Lots of love from Louisiana.
