Migraine Surgery
In 1987, my adopted dad did the unthinkable to a child of 9 years old. He had beaten me upside the back of the head with a Ball Peen Hammer 152 times. At least that's all I can recount before I blacked out. I remember that number fondly because I was forced to scream the number of the hit out every time he hit me (i.e. 1 thank you, 2 thank you, 3 thank you and so on). I woke up in the hospital. I immediately started screaming as I was restrained to the bed with all kinds of cords coming off me. While I was screaming a nurse came in and finally got me to calm down. I asked how long have I been in the hospital and she told me 9 months in a coma. I did my research and found out that technically I was not supposed to have lived through the entire ordeal. I spent another 6 months of very extensive hospital stays and rehabilitation to retrain me to walk. During my extent of my hospital stay, I came to realize that no one in fact wanted me as I didn't have any visitors. My adopted family didn't even come to see me and that was awful. At that time I came to realize that was a new beginning to my life. I was put in group homes and foster homes one after another. I never stayed long at any of them once they found out what happened to me and my constant nightmares
June 29th 1993, I remember like it was yesterday, I went to the emergency room screaming and yelling "Oh my gosh I am dying." I yelled that repeatedly as I was so dizzy, lightheaded, and my blood pressure was out of whack. I knew this would not be an easy road but nothing I couldn't handle. By the time I got to the Emergency room via ambulance my partner was already there informing them of what had happened to me when I was 9 years old. My ex heard me screaming a mile away (exaggeration needed) because I really felt like I was dying. I spent another 7 months in the hospital drifting in and out of consciousness. They say I was pronounced dead 6 different times and then I came back to life
Then in Dec 1995, the life I dreamed for came crashing down. I went to the ER with major dizziness symptoms. I was having severe migraines so bad as they wouldn't go away. I was in a vegetable state for 2 years. During those 2 years I was highly depending on the hospital staff and my partner to help take care of me as I wasn't able to do it myself and I have felt utterly ashamed by having them clean me, but I had no other choice as I couldn't move during that time. My BEAUTIFUL partner and his mother stood watch over me very well to make sure nothing happened to me.
Unfortunately, it came to the point that my partner's mom passed away in 2000, and I put everything on pause at that very moment to care for my partner who was in a wheelchair due to his Cerebral Palsy and MS. I took care of my partner until he was brutally murdered on my birthday of 2002. He was murdered by my adopted dad. My adopted dad thought the person under the covers in bed was me and shot and killed him with 5 shots to multiple parts of the body. By the time, I got home from work at lunch time he was already cold, and I had to make the gruesome discovery of finding his cold body that laid in our bed and I was so traumatized by this event. I have been to many countless hours of therapy and no one has ever believed me when I tell them what happened.
Through extensive therapy and will power, I now have come to terms with what has happened to me. I have come across the chance of a lifetime, to receive burning of the nerves in the back of my neck to reduce my migraines at any given time. That brings me here today, asking for help to treat my disease and finish my life long dream of migraine free!
I often lay in bed at night wondering "Why me"! Well the other day it became perfectly clear to why this happened to me. Because I have now lived in the state that with my disabled self for so long and now I Want to get better not only for myself but help others in distress going through the same thing I am.
I am looking to raise money for my migraine surgery as they are getting to me where I can't hardly do anything. There are times where I can't even get out of bed or even move on any given day. Anything you can help with would be great. Anything over my requested amount would be greatly appreciated. FYI, they also affect my vision as I'm already visually impaired. They throw off my balance and it interferes with my MS. I really need the help. All help is appreciated no matter how small.
Please help me if you can!
