If you know him you love him. Our friend and loving father, Mike Spohn, is facing a medical emergency and he needs our love and support. Recently Mike was diagnosed with AFib, irregular and rapid heart beats caused by the misfiring of electrical signals in the upper chambers of the heart. Mike recently spent over a week in ICU where the doctors’ attempt to shock his heart back into regular “sinus rhythm” was stopped short due to their discovery of a large blood clot in his heart. Mike was sent home recently with orders to take blood thinners for 3-4 months in an effort to dissolve the clot. Mike is currently without medical insurance, making the cost of care very taxing. The blood thinners alone cost more than seven hundred dollars a month. Once the clot is dissolved, he will need two follow up procedures to prevent the AFib from returning. Mike has been there for many of us in our times of need. He’s always been a big brother to me and has changed my life for the better. It’s time to return the favor - let’s flood our brother with love and support during this difficult time.
