#MikeyStrong

Michael Trent is an incredibly talented 14-year-old athlete, fun-loving child; amazing big brother, son, boyfriend, nephew, and friend.

The morning of July 4th, 2018. Mikey suffered a stroke that has now left him with full paralysis. He is locked in his body, communicating by blinking, and fighting with all he has.

The doctors have said the paralysis is expected to be permanent, however we are going to do anything and everything we can possibly do to try and prevent that. We have hope and have seen miracles happen. Mikey is 100% there. He is smiling when we tell stories, and will make jokes when he is spelling out words on the eye chart. Mikey is a fighter and has shown a level of bravery and strength no child should ever be forced to face.

Unfortunately, this is not going to be easy and there is a very long road ahead for recovery. To add to the complexity his parents are divorced and operate out of two separate households. There is a gofundme that is created to support Mikey's mother, but Mikey has two homes that will need to be prepared for him to come home. Mikey is going to require an incredible amount of care. We want to make it as easy as possible for his father to only have to focus on helping his son heal.

Any amount of donation and/or support you can give is appreciated more than we can express.

PLEASE pass this information along to family, extended family, best friends, friends, friends of friends, charities, do-gooders, etc. in the area and beyond to put their positive vibes, prayers, and donations toward this mighty feat to help our family provide the best support and comfort to him that we can in this life-changing moment.

Also, we truly need prayer, hope, and guidance at this time, even if you cant afford to give, there are many other ways you can help, including sharing this link through Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, email, text, etc. We hope to reach as many people as we can as maybe someone has been in a similar situation and has had success with the recovery and surgery needed.

Thank you so much, from the bottom of our hearts, thank you!

**If you have any stories of hope or know of any treatments we should be looking into please share that with us as well. Please send them to [email protected].**
