Miller Family Recovery

On Sunday, October 23, 2022, the Miller Family suffered the unimaginable loss of a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend when Tony Miller perished in a house fire at his Azle home. Tony and his wife Renae were both home when tragedy struck; unfortunately, Tony did not survive the fire, and their retirement dream home was destroyed. Tony recently retired after a 25 year career as a Corporal with the Haltom City Police Department, and he was only 62 years old.

Tony Miller was a true caretaker, always looking to help those around him in any way he could. Tony will be remembered and grieved by many for his warm smile and generosity of time and spirit. Tony was the glue that held his family together, the rational peacekeeper when times were tough. Now is our time to support the Miller family in Tony's honor. There will be a financial burden as they navigate through this tragedy, including funeral expenses and rebuilding the family home. Not only have they lost such a remarkable man in Tony, but they have also lost most of their earthly possessions and a lifetime of keepsakes collected since Tony and Renae were married as teenagers.

Not only did Tony serve Haltom City, he lived and raised a family in this community. #Haltomhasheart. He also helped leave a legacy of public service through his son and niece, who serve their own communities at the Fort Worth Police Department and the Plano Police Department. Most importantly of all, he leaves behind a legacy of strong fatherhood through his two sons, who are now leading families of their own.

Let us show them what their family means to us all, and help them through these dark times.
