Milo's College Graduation
Aloha!
Well the time has come for me to finally graduate from college; I know my 17 year plan took awhile, but it was worth every minute!
Leaving school back in 2003 was scary since there was so much uncertainty in the world at that time. After a couple years of trying to ‘make it' I realized I had to do something for a greater cause.
Then, I remember seeing the news and the names of service members killed in action were flashing by. From 18-20 years old and there I was 21 and enjoying this freedom, I had to act. In June 2005 I joined the Army and it was the best choice I could have made. Fast forward, 2 combat deployments, recruiting duty, and a plethora of injuries later, it was time for me to move on from my 12 years of service and get back to where I left off.
In January 2017 I set off on my journey at University of Hawai'i at Mānoa going to school full time, even through summer. I made the Dean's List for Spring 2018 and maintained a 3.68 GPA while being a full time husband to my wife Lorena and father to my daughters Mileena and Leilani. As of right now, I have been approved graduation from Shidler College of Business at UH Mānoa with a degree in Business Management.
The reason for this crowdfunding is to give people the opportunity to celebrate this occasion with me and my family. I know, Hawai'i is a destination to get to and quite costly. Not asking for huuuuge donations nor for any serious reason, moreso because people have asked for my address to send cards and graduation gifts.
All in all, thank you for your generous gifts, I'll spend it on a new Harley-Davidson Road Glide. I know 10k is a lot, but shoot for the stars, right?
