Miracle needed 2C specialist
My ten year old baby, Pip is in need of seeing an eye specialist. He is pictured on the left. He lost one eye last year due to glaucoma. Though the eye pressure in his remaining eye is good and he sees a Dr regularly to check on him, he continues to get eye infections. I have spent over $1000.00 in this last Summer alone trying to figure out what exactly is causing the infections. He has now grown somewhat lethargic and just is not himself. The vet is recommending he see an eye specialist to have a special scan that only eye specialists provide to see if he possibly has a tumor behind the eye. To see a specialist alone, it is about $170.00. To do the test, I was quoted $400-600.00. Then if he does have a tumor, I will no doubt need to have it removed if that is possible for them to do. If it is inoperable, then I will have no choice but to keep him comfortable till it is his time to go. But for now, I just need to get him in. My budget for him is way passed what I can afford. I am awaiting disability and though I do whatever I have to do to get my furkids the medical care they need, I am out of options right now. I have been judged harshly before for asking for help financially and told I should not have animals if I can't afford them. While I can understand why one would think this, I also feel like I am doing the absolute best that I can. I provide my pets a warm, loving safe home and take care of more than just their basic needs. But I honestly cannot handle funds for surgery. I did not expect to get disabled and these pets came to be before my disability did. I am asking if anyone can help. If you have helped me before, I am incredibly grateful. I spend a large amount of my time networking animals in need of homes. I guess you could call me a unofficial rescue networker, if there is such a title. Animals are my passion and this little guy of mine means the absolute world to me. If anyone can help, I would be forever grateful!
