My name is Emprisse M. Walker, proudly representing Fort Pierce, Florida, and I am honored to be Contestant #3 in the Miss Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. Pageant at FAU. I am running not only for a title, but to uplift the Sigma principles of scholarship, service, and community empowerment—values that guide everything I do.

As a future clinical psychologist focused on supporting foster youth, my purpose is rooted in advocacy, healing, and creating safe futures for children impacted by trauma. This pageant gives me a meaningful platform to further that mission.

Academically, I am a Psychology major and co-author of a systematic review centered on supporting foster caregivers—research directly tied to my long-term career goals and commitment to youth mental health.

Before attending FAU, I built a strong foundation of leadership and service at Indian River State College, where I:

• Earned my Associate of Arts (May 2024)
• Worked in the Student Life Office
• Served as Co-Chair, Historian Club
• Served as Executive Board Member, Virtual Connections Club
• Served as Secretary, HOSA
• Participated in multiple organizations that strengthened my leadership, communication, and service skills
