Hey everyone!

I am so grateful and blessed to announce that I have committed to going back to Estelí, Nicaragua on a mission trip with my church (Charity Baptist Church in Kannapolis, NC)! I will mainly serve as an interpreter for our group as we tell of the Good News everywhere we go. The trip will be from October 4th-11th, and we will be returning to serve with a local missionary who moved his family to the area years ago and is now partnering with our church to plant churches in the local area and spread the name of Jesus. Our group will consist of approximately 20 people and will be just one group of many that have gone to serve this village over the years.

Our Mission

Matthew 28:19-20 is one of the pillars that our church is founded on and that my life is built upon. We will seek to play our part in the Great Commission as we take the name of Jesus Christ to all parts of the world. During our trip specifically, we will serve the Estelí village and its local churches and schools by teaching the children about who Jesus is and what he has done for all of us, minister and show the love of Christ to all of those with who we come into contact, go door to door through the village where we will pray, worship, and share our testimony along with the Gospel, and meet any other physical, spiritual, or emotional need so that the love of Christ may be magnified in us.

My Story

At a young age, I realized that I fall short of God's perfect and holy standard daily (Romans 3:12, Romans 3:23) and that I need a savior who could pay a price that I never could (1 John 2:2). God met me (as He is willing to with us all; 2 Peter 3:9) in my sin in the form of Jesus Christ and bore my sin on the cross and rose again so that I may now die to my sin and worldly desires and be born again to a life wholly devoted to Him (Romans 6:10-11). I have grown in my relationship with Christ over the years, and I have come to wholly rely on and acknowledge that any good that comes from me is actually from the Holy Spirit (Galatians 2:20). I have experienced firsthand the peace and power that the Holy Spirit brings (Philippians 4:6, Galatians 5:22-24), and now I seek to share (through actions and words; Matthew 5:16, Romans 10:17) the Good News with all of those that God places into my life. My trip to Nicaragua will not be a 7-day ‘spike' in my evangelistic efforts, but rather an extension of the Great Commission that I strive to live out daily by the grace of God and the power of the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 2:8-9).

What the Funds will Cover

A large portion of the money raised will go straight toward airfare, which will cost approximately $700. The remaining amount will be used to cover food, a large community event where will pass out baskets of food and room & board. Please consider partnering with me either financially or prayerfully as we take the name of Jesus to the uttermost parts of the Earth.
