Mom’s Courageous Recovery
Greetings. My mother, Nancy Feraro, has been frequently hospitalized for almost a year, initially due to a cancer diagnosis, followed by surgery and ongoing treatments. Subsequently, she suffered a severe fall that resulted in a broken femur and hip, necessitating reconstructive surgery on her hip and leg, extensive physical therapy, and relearning how to walk. Despite enduring significant pain every day, she continues to persevere. I have been by my mother's side throughout this journey, which has limited my ability to dedicate sufficient time to my work in order to support her full-time care. She has moved in with me, and I have transformed my small home into a rehabilitation center, furnished with all the necessary resources to provide her with the best opportunity for a complete recovery, including nurses, rehabilitation appointments, and a variety of specialists. Consequently, I am struggling to manage the bills. It’s wiped me out completely. We are in need of assistance. We are reaching out for your support to alleviate this financial strain so that we can concentrate solely on what is most important — my mother's recovery. Your kindness will equip our family with the means to keep my mother on her journey to health without interruption, address immediate necessities, and afford us the time required for her healing without the anxiety of losing our ability to repay creditors or maintain my home. Every contribution, regardless of size, has a significant impact. If you are unable to donate, we kindly ask you to share this page within your network — and please keep our family in your thoughts and prayers, or in whatever way you find meaningful. Thank you very much. I dislike having to ask for help, but I am uncertain of what other options are available. First, I faced cancer (twice), then my mother's cancer, and now the challenges of her hip, leg, and the process of relearning to walk.
