First, please allow me to say thank you so much for taking the time to consider helping me and my family. I am a disabled US Navy veteran with 8 years of honorable service from 1999 - 2007. In February of 2021, sadly, ten years of marriage began its legal end. After almost two years of trying to complete a 50/50 divorce, I decided my kids had been through enough, so in order to move forward, I relinquished all rights to the home we built and the business we built together. I had exhausted all financial means and my attorney withdrew from my case.. I agreed to a parenting plan that I believed was temporary. I've recently learned it is not temporary. As of May 2023, I have successfully completed every requirements with fail. My kids currently get to stay with me two days a month with two phone calls a week and school/holiday vacation still reserved. I have not been allowed to see my on Christmas for two years. Thankfully, I have hope, my employers Employee Assistance Program referred an attorney to me that I believe can help me petition the court for more time. I'm only asking for every other weekend, Friday-Sunday (4 days month), to split school/holiday vacations, and to be able to communicate with them more broadly in between visits. I have and will continue to make all child support payments on time and am not even asking for a reduction in the event I get to see my kids more. I have created this campaign in the hopes that I can retain the aforementioned attorney to assist me in petitioning the court for more time with my kids. If the campaign is successful, I will provide the service contract and receipt to prove I've used the funds for such.
