In December of 2023, I was settling on a loan for a house for myself and my grandson whom I was raising since he was 3 years old. The day before settlement I got a call from my realtor that I had a new closing disclosure to sign. After much confusion and speaking with the loan officer, I realized that I was part of a "bait and switch" loan. My entire loan was changed in one single day. I reluctantly went to settlement and signed the loan as I had nowhere else to go and my grandson needed to stay in school. My payment changed from $1278 to $1742 overnight. For 3 months I was in tears trying to figure out how I was going to make it work and not lose the house. I desperately struggled but it got worse. My loan was a 3,2,1 buy down and Feb 1 of this year, my payment went up to $2037. I now am desperately trying to do a refinance but I have gotten behind over $5000. In order to refinance and not lose the house, I am seeking financial help so I am able to move forward with the refinance which will bring my payment back down to around $1300. I saw something on a "you tube" video about this platform to ask for help, so I am here. If anyone is able to donate, it would be so appreciated and make a world of difference for my grandson and I.
