Mosaic Sewer and Water

Hello everyone!

Hi, My name is Erika. My husband Paul and our two children, Isaiah and Micah, are a family that will be moving into the Payne-Phalen neighborhood this summer. We have chosen to sell our house in White Bear Lake and move into a tiny home on wheels to intentionally live with others on Minnesota's first Sacred Settlement (watch WCCO story here).

You may be asking, what is a Sacred Settlement? It is a safe and loving place where those who have been chronically homeless have a home of their own—surrounded by a loving community.  It is a place where faith communities work with Settled.org to develop a plan to share land for tiny homes on wheels and the use of their churchs' facilities and shared space.

As Mosaic Church prepares for us to move on to the land, we have found out we can have water and sewer brought to our tiny home! Up to this point, we had thought we were going to be carting out water and using an incinerating or a composting toilet! As we wrestled with asking for help or trying to pay for this on our own, we reached out to trusted friends and family to help us discern what to do. It is clear; we are being led to ask others to join us in this endeavor. Not only am I being humbled by asking for help, but I am reminded we are made to be in community. We are created to love our neighbor. We are here to help bless others.

Will you please join us to help bless Mosaic Church and our family by running a line to bring in sewer and water to our tiny home?

Thank you so much!
