Moving Across the Country
Hi everyone! As you may know, I have recently accepted a postbaccalaureate research position with the National Institute of Health. I will be training and working in the Cognitive Decision Neuroscience lab studying the computations behind decision making and how they are affected by adverse mental states. This postbacc position is a very important stepping stone in my journey to obtaining a Ph.D. in Neuroscience.
Taking on this position requires me to move across the country to Bethesda, Maryland to work on the NIH campus. I will be driving 42 hours all the way from Bakersfield to Bethesda with my dog, Daisy, in the backseat. Moving is expensive as it is, not to mention the hotels, meals, and gas for a 42 hour, 2,800 mile road trip.
For my birthday this year, all I ask for is any assistance you'd be willing to give to help fund my moving expenses and this long road trip across the country. Thank you so much for your support, I am eternally grateful.
