Moving Expenses for KK
Hello all, most of you will know me by Katana Kie from streaming on Twitch but to my family and close friends my name is Kiersten. I currently reside in Virginia and have been born and raised here, Virginia is all I know. I haven't lived in another state (other than college) for my entire life and I would like to change that this year. My boyfriend, Daniel, is from Florida born and raised there and we've been together for 5 years now. I met him while he was stationed in VA as a Marine back in 2019 and we've been inseparable since then, even with him deploying to different countries we still felt close. Speed up to now he is out of the Marines and currently works in construction and lives with his parents, as do I in VA and working at a factory job. Both of us discussed that it's time for us to start living together so we can achieve more and hopefully be married soon and get to do more things. We are trying to save up enough money so I can officially move into an apartment with Daniel by September of this year. Me and Daniel have already been approved for an apartment and put down the security deposit but we're still ways to go for funds in order for me to be in Florida. We need help with getting a moving truck since we'll be driving my furniture and car there, the mileage, gas, and time it takes to get there will not be cheap; help with groceries and home goods like cleaning supplies and cook/eating ware and utensils; since i won't have a job until i get to FL, we would need the additional funds for rent and other utilities for at least September. Daniel will be the only one working once I do move in with him until I can do interviews in-person and be readily available for work (most jobs I've already applied to wants someone to start immediately and I can't since I'm still in VA). So far we've saved up together over $2k but with applying to other apartments and them taking application fees, the deposit for our apartment and paying our own bills that's gone down to $1k. It's a bit harder than what we thought it was, especially being in two different states but we're trying our best. We are making an effort to at least put away $300 from our checks into a joint account for this move up until September. But with the help of you guys we will be able to save a bit faster and possibly move in earlier. I, personally would like to move a bit earlier since my living situation has gotten complicated with living in a household where a family member has a drug and alcohol addiction and puts off responsibilities to me makes it difficult for me to save money for myself and pay my own bills. I would like to distance myself and get out of this situation before more traumatic events and mental warfare occur. The reason for the goal being $5k is to ensure we have enough money to cover everything, even if it's money left over after all that's being taken care of, the rest will go to rent for future months, more home goods, and savings. As good as it sounds to stay at home with family and not have to pay bills on your own, it's no longer an option for both of us if we want to start building a future together and having a family of our own. Even if the total goal isn't reached anything that is given to us will be used solely for this moving trip and is greatly appreciated! Me and Daniel both love each other and have the upmost respect and love for both of our families and friends, without any of you this couldn't be a possibility.
