8 weeks ago my best friend Danielle underwent a hysterectomy that she has needed for over 6 years. She tried to save and plan and coordinate so that she could sustain herself financially while out of work. She went back to work just 3 weeks ago and then out of the blue she ended up in the emergency room on September 2 in excruciating pain only to find out that the scar tissue from her previous surgery had grown over her appendix and it was dying. She was taken directly back to surgery for her appendix to be removed. She was not prepared for this emergency as all of her funds were depleted from the first surgery. She has no money to sustain herself, pay bills or rent. She has thousands in outstanding medical debt that she is trying to figure out how to pay for but for now she just needs help to get through the next 2 months with standard bills and expenses so that she doesn’t loose her apartment or car or have utilities shut off. She has applied for assistance everywhere but does not meet the requirements for disability or unemployment. She can’t seem to find any help anywhere. This is a last resort and she is desperate.
