My name is Erika, and I’m an online student at San Joaquin Valley College studying Human Resource Administration. By God’s grace, I’ve worked hard to maintain straight A’s and perfect attendance, even earning a spot on the Dean’s List. But right now, I’m facing an obstacle I can’t overcome alone, and I’m humbly asking for your help.

The assignments in my current courses require a Windows computer, but I only have a Chromebook. I’ve tried my best to make do—using the limited browser version of Microsoft programs, borrowing time on other devices when possible—but it’s simply not enough. Important features are missing, and I can’t properly follow my textbook’s instructions. As a result, my grades are slipping for the first time, and it breaks my heart after how hard I’ve worked.

I don’t like asking for help—I’ve always believed in working hard and being resourceful—but I’ve reached a point where I can’t do this by myself. If anyone has a used Windows laptop they could spare, or if you’re able to contribute toward one, I would be so deeply grateful. I promise to use this gift wisely, to finish my degree well, and to one day help others in need just as you’d be helping me.

I know times are hard for many people, so even if you can’t give, I’d be thankful just for your prayers or for sharing this request. My graduation is set for July, and I’m praying for a way to cross that finish line.
