My dream Vacation
Today I am starting up a fundraiser, because it's exactly 100 days until I turn 20. I've always wanted to go on a dream vacation. I had a very traumatic life and growing up as a kid I had to see my own father he abusive towards my mom. The abuse was so bad that DSS eventually stepped in and took me away from my parents and I was placed in a strangers home. I didn't get to choose ever and the system wasn't so good at choosing my placements. I would constantly worry if I was going to have to suffer the abuse again and being moved from home to home and school to school wasn't so easy. I was bullied in elementary school and picked on throughout middle school because of me being different from the other kids and me going through what I went through was enough to have me getting bullied. I never even got the chance to graduate high school because I had ran away from a group home in Lancaster, SC because I was getting jumped on by 4 girls and I had found out a week before I had gotten jumped on that I was pregnant and I tried to get the group home multiple times to take me to the doctor but they refused because they thought I was making up being pregnant for attention and the staff there were all mean and didn't really check on us like they were supposed to and that night I had that incident nobody was there to help me and the staff didn't even do anything about it. I had to literally go to school the next day with knots in my head and talk to my school counselor about the problem and I still didn't receive any help and at that moment I didn't feel safe to go back to that group home so I had ran away and I had gotten one of my friends at school to drive me all the way to York, SC back to my moms house. All the things that the world throws at me I usually overcome and all I could really ask for is a dream vacation to take my mind off all these things and hopefully have a better future. God bless you all and thank you to those who will be supportive and help me achieve my goal.
