My Husky Necessities
I’m 18 and live in Virginia, and I’m trying to raise money to take care of my 1‑year‑old Siberian Husky, Lilo. She’s my first dog on my own, and honestly, she’s my whole world. She’s goofy, stubborn, and loving in all the ways huskies are, and I just want to do right by her.Lilo needs to be spayed and get her one‑year shots at our vet, VetXpress. I really want to get her spayed before her first heat to help prevent health problems and keep her safe and healthy as she grows up. The problem is, everything together (the spay, her vaccines, and related vet costs) is going to be around $1,000 or more, which is a lot for me right now.I’ve never made much money, but I’ve always done my best to take care of her with what I have. In December, I had surgery and wasn’t able to work for a while, so I fell behind and couldn’t save like I planned. I’m just now able to work again, but what I make right now basically means this vet visit would be about two months of my income. I’ve gone through every option I can think of, and I’m honestly asking for help because I don’t know what else to do to get this money together quickly before she goes into her first heat.Lilo isn’t “just a dog” to me. She’s there when I wake up, when I get home, when I’m stressed, or when I feel alone. I just want to make sure she gets the care she deserves and doesn’t end up with health issues that could have been prevented. Every little bit helps more than you know. Even a few dollars gets us closer to her surgery and shots at VetXpress, and if you can’t donate, just sharing this would mean a lot.
