My Last Line of Defense
Every parent knows the feeling of trying to stay strong for their kids even when everything inside you is falling apart. That’s where I am right now.
We’re behind on rent and car payments after months of unstable income. Now the landlord has given us a final deadline: January 31st. If I can’t come up with $5,600, we lose our home and our only vehicle in the same week.
I’ve been fighting this battle quietly, hoping I could fix it before it got this bad. But I can’t hide it anymore. My kids are starting to notice the stress. They’re asking questions I don’t know how to answer.
