I never imagined I’d be writing something like this.

One of the women who’s been by my side for years — not just as a team member, but as family — has watched both sides of her family (mother and father) lose everything to the recent typhoon in the Philippines.

Her parents, aunts, uncles, cousins — everyone — are starting completely from scratch.

Homes, furniture, food, and belongings were all swept away in the flooding. Many are now living with her as they try to piece their lives back together.

When she was able to reconnect with me, her message stopped me in my tracks:

“Everything feels like a scene from a movie where you see houses totally submerged and people swept away by the water.”

Her mother is doing everything she can — even digging clothes out of the mud, in attempt to clean and save them just to have something for the family to wear.

They have no furniture, no bedding, and very few household items left. Yet in the middle of loss, they are showing courage, faith, and love for each other — determined to rebuild from nothing.

I’ve already sent money to help cover their immediate needs, but it will on take about.... GET THIS $1,500.... to replace essentials — clothing, bedding, food, and basic furniture — for the family members now living together in her home.

Every dollar raised will go directly to her and her family. There will be 100% transparency in how funds are are disbursed to them
