Hi my name is Maria and I am in need of help. I am currently 23 weeks pregnant and on the verge of being homeless.

The father of my unborn baby is not and does not want any involvement with me, my pregnancy, or the child, so I am going through everything alone and I feel that I have absolutely no support. I’ve tried so many different routs as well as with the state financial aid system and I’ve had absolutely no luck. I need to figure something out before my child is born. I need to get into a safe and stable apartment, because my parents want me out before the baby is born.

I do have WIC and food stamps set up but was denied financial cash assistance. Housing assistance here is closed until further notice.

I lost my job during my first trimester even though I did the best I could and I have yet to be hired with anyone else. I am a high risk pregnancy, so I am limited to the kind of work I can do and although I’ve had countless interviews, I feel that nobody has hired me because I am pregnant and they need someone to work long term with no time off, so I’m never a first choice.

I need to be able to buy whatever my unborn baby is going to need and I need to get us into a stable and safe apartment. I am beyond stressed because I want to make this work so bad. I just need a little help, I do not have any support, and I don’t know where else to turn. Any help would be greatly appreciated and I feel so blessed that I found this community.
