Every day, Natashia struggles with something most of us take for granted—being able to eat without pain or fear of getting sick. She has lost over 30 pounds, and what should be normal daily life has become a constant battle with pain, nausea, appointments, procedures, and uncertainty about what is happening to her body. More than anything, she just wants to feel like herself again.

This all began after her second hiatal hernia surgery in February. What was supposed to be a standard surgery has turned into months of searching for answers. She has endured multiple EGDs, upper fluoroscopies, NG tubes, an unexpected four-day hospital stay, and numerous other tests, with more procedures still ahead.

Natashia has now been diagnosed with gastroparesis. Her doctors are also investigating possible SMA syndrome and/or vagus nerve damage from surgery, along with concerns that her previous repair may have come undone. She is now being referred to two specialty surgeons as we continue searching for answers and a path toward healing.

The physical and emotional toll has been incredibly difficult, and the financial burden continues to grow. We have already paid more than $3,500 out of pocket and have incurred over $13,000 in medical debt, with more bills, procedures, and specialist visits ahead.

Anyone who knows Natashia knows that asking for help does not come easily to her. She is a very private person, so sharing something this personal is incredibly difficult. But right now, we want her to be able to focus on getting answers, healing, and getting her life back—not worrying about the growing medical expenses.
