I am a single mom of two. My mom died November 6, 2019 from Esophageal cancer. I was taking care of her until she had to go to hospice. I tried to keep the house we had in Georgia, but was not able to for numerous reasons. I was, however, able to get a storage unit to put the last of her things and some of our things into for safekeeping until I was able to get back there to get it all. I have not been able to get back yet and now I am struggling to keep the unit. I have had to lose so many things in my life and I cannot bear the thought of losing the last of my mom's things. I have tried so hard to find other ways to keep it and to just get there and get our stuff, but have been unsuccessful so far.

This fundraiser is my last resort, my last hope. My first and main goal is to not lose the storage unit in the first place, but then to be able to get back there to get our stuff shipped back (the easiest way to go about it, as I don't know anyone to drive a U-Haul or other similar companies). The unit costs $60 per month.

Current fees: $210 (needs to be paid to not lose the unit, plus next month's rent just in case I am not able to go until next month)

Greyhound there and back: $600

Food and other supplies for the trip: $150

Hotel in the area for 2-3 nights: $250

Approximate shipping things back: $750

Cab/Uber to get to the places needed to ship things and get from the terminal to the storage unit, etc. (multiple trips): $300
