8 weeks ago I underwent a hysterectomy that I have needed for over 6 years. I saved and planned and coordinated so that I could sustain myself financially while out of work. I went back to work just 2 short weeks ago and then out of the blue I end up in the emergency room on September 2 in excruciating pain only to find out that the scar tissue from my previous surgery had grown over my appendix and it was dying. I was taken directly back to surgery for my appendix to be removed. I was not prepared for this emergency as all of my funds were depleted from the first surgery. I have no money to sustain myself, pay bills or rent. I have thousands in outstanding medical debt that I’m trying to figure out how to pay for but for now I just need help to get through the next 2 months with standard bills and expenses so that I don’t loose my apartment or car or have utilities shut off. I have applied for assistance everywhere but do not meet the requirements for disability or unemployment. I can’t seem to find any help anywhere. I’m not even sure that I will have a job to go back to after this as I do not meet FMLA requirements. This is a last resort and I am desperate.
