Car repair to get to work
Right now, I’m falling through the cracks - fighting to stay working and self-sufficient while struggling financially and not qualifying for traditional assistance.
I'm humbly asking for your help to reach any or all of these three critical goals:
Goal 1: Work Transportation ($3,500)
Staying employed at my job is essential - both for my financial stability and for my current health insurance.
My car has nearly 175,000 miles and needs over $3,400 in urgent safety repairs (suspension, oil leak, and transfer case issues). Every drive to work is stressful, knowing it could break down at any moment. Public transit to work isn't an option and daily Ubers are cost-prohibitive.
Given the high mileage, I will need a replacement vehicle in the near future. I am asking for help to either cover these necessary repairs or for help put towards a down payment on a safer, reliable car.
Goal 2: Housing & Living Stability ($4,000)
Having used up all my savings to pay for healthcare insurance premiums and basic needs, I am facing a risk of losing my housing. I need help covering essential living expenses until I can stabilize.
Goal 3: Credit Card & DTI Relief ($2,500)
I've had to put health insurance premiums and everyday living costs on credit cards and that pushed my debt-to-income (DTI) ratio too high. Paying down a portion of this debt is essential to help lower my DTI so that I can qualify for a reasonable auto loan when replacing my car becomes unavoidable.
Asking for help is the last thing I want to do, but this fundraiser is the best option I have right now to keep me working, housed, and moving forward.
Even a gift of $5, $10, or $20 makes an immediate difference.
Thank you for your donations, sharing this fundraiser, or sending out kind words. I look forward to paying this kindness forward once I’m back on stable ground.
