My name is Angel and I have 3 kids I've been raising on my own the past few years. I've had to move around a lot, because my abusive ex couldn't provide stability during the time we were together. I was finally able to get out as my mom allowed my kids and I to stay in the home she was no longer living in. She had given me a promise I'd never have to worry about housing ever again, but unfortunately, 3 days ago she dropped the bomb she was selling it after being here for 2 years. She told me I needed to find other arrangements, but gave me the option to buy this home for $60,000. It doesn't have electricity in two of the rooms, there is a bad leak coming from somewhere in the house and part of the floor tore apart. Despite all of that, this is the only home my kids have felt any sort of stability in. I can work on those issues little by little, but for now I am stressed out to the max about where my kids and I will stay. I am barely making ends meet as it is, but I'm proud to say I am able to at least give my kids the necessary things they need in life. I DoorDash because I don't have anyone who can watch them so I take them with me every..single..time. During school I wait until they're done and then go right out to make as much as I can for the day as they do their homework in the car. It's a sad situation, but I'm trying to keep my head above water to provide what I can for them. I just want to at least keep this one thing that I can call a home and have as my own so that they can continue to have that stability.
