We served in churches and nonprofits with little pay and no retirement funds. We adopted six children in need. We have spent our lives serving people but are approaching 60 years of age and need to focus on securing funds for retirement. My husband has excellent carpentry skills. We purchased two building lots and would like to build two houses to sell and put the profit in our retirement fund. If we can do this a few times, we will have a little bit to help us when we are too old to work.
