Hi there,

My name is Rhianna. I'm a single mother to an awesome 11 year old son.

This may be long shot and embarrassed to ask and blast my situation.... but I'm really in need of some help with vehicle funding.

I don't have a good family support system to go to, unfortunately.

I have been trying my options that I know of or have been given, for months now. I'm getting really overwhelmed as my son starts school soon, across town.

I've been contacting churches, community action places, 211, posting in mutual Aid groups on Facebook, Asking around as well as working with a case manager on this matter. She recently dropped me as a client, with no heads up. Working with her has got absolutely nowhere with this need.

I've also posted a bunchhhh of stuff for sale on Marketplace as well.

--- I am not able to finance a car, unfortunately and I am not having much luck with finding any reliable vehicle assistance. Searching private sale cars has been stressful and I've had a couple uncomfortable encounters with people selling their vehicles. And or them lying about the condition of their vehicle.

~~ I'm also trying my best to sell my 99 Honda Accord Coupe. It broke down May of 2025. Its all I have/Own. I've had it for over 14 years now and it's very sentimental to me... it took me about 9 months to even post it online for sale. Its my first car!

To my knowledge, it has a Frozen Camshaft. 💔

My dad had never given me the mechanics receipt to know exactly what the issue was until January 2026...

Our relationship has been shattered due to my car situation. My dad has been an entire, bully to me about it all... about my car breaking down, it sitting infront of his house, and me needing to borrow his second* car, as my son was still in school, and had a birthday coming up!

I didn't know what to do, as I couldn't have it sitting in my apartment complex for long, nor could I just go buy a new car...

It had been in my complex since January 2026.

After talking to management, I had asked for 2 months from then to get rid of it. It's been longer..

My dad had took it upon himself to try and sell my car under his own personal information and his named price. He posted it online to sell it without my knowledge or permission as well as tried to scam me out of my driver's license number so he could sell my car from under me because he had a copy of my title. My car, insurance, and registration has always been in my name since I bought it over 14 years ago.

In May 2026, he came and took his car back and had it towed from my apartment complex without me knowing, which very much so freaked me out. NEVER offered to help with anything. Not even to use his car insurance to tow it to my house after I offered to pay the $36 difference in the miles not covered... I took care of him as his unpaid caregiver for over a year prior to my car situation, after he got his leg amputated due to diabetes. He's 68 and very unpleasant to everybody!!!

I'm at a loss at this point and I don't know what to do!

**** I dont have it in my soul to Junk my car for $300 at Jalopy Jungle.

The exterior and interior are in really great condition for the age. It just doesn't run.

******** With all that....

-- I currently have a Protection Order for me and my son against his dad inwhich was granted for a year, as of April 30th 2026 due to Domestic Violence.

My sons dad had pulled his gun on me and threatened to shoot me infront of our son, AGAIN. My son was right behind me in the back seat! Heard and saw it all.

He has expressed deep hatred for his dad for a few years now and it really does make me sad... but as he gets older, my son is seeing for himself... And mama is going to do what's best, always!

That had also happened in public at our pickup/drop-off location.

After that, I was highly encouraged by multiple people to get a protection order. So, I gained the courage to do it. I got the protection order that next day and I filed the modifications myself, for full custody as of June 2026.

So, I'm about to go through all that as well ! Thankfully, I was told by an Attorney, that because the severity of it, I most likely wouldn't need to retain an attorney. Which was so great to hear.

I'm worried but feel Empowered at the same time! 💪🏽✨️

This is the first time in the 13 years that I've taken any legal actions against him. I've been tired of being harrasssed, verbal abuseband the often threats to my life, the countless times he has done it. He was very physically, mentally Abusive and controlling my whole pregnancy, up until well... April of this year. Loooong 13 years..... andddd while not even being with him for this last 12 years!! I have such a kind, giving soul... I just don't get it....

Please send help lol 😵‍💫

Side Note:

I'm open to any advice, if you know someone selling a car or different options that can help me and or also getting rid of my car, is very much, greatly appreciated!!

*Looking for a reliable, good running 4 Dr car, Automatic, with preferably dark Interior.*
