While returning from a beautiful birthday trip, my partner and I were involved in a serious car accident. I'm beyond grateful that we both walked away without major injuries—but unfortunately, my vehicle did not. It was significantly damaged when we had to swerve to avoid another vehicle that cut us off, causing the trailer we were towing to fishtail and flip us onto the side of the interstate.

While we avoided a collision that could have seriously harmed someone, the insurance company is viewing this as a single-vehicle accident. Because I didn’t have comprehensive coverage, they aren’t able to help with any of the costs to repair or replace my car.

This has left me in a difficult position. The estimated cost to repair my vehicle is around $7,500. I’m hoping to raise funds to either fully repair my SUV or, ideally, purchase a reliable pre-owned mid-sized SUV that I can depend on long-term.
