I have a mobile notary closing business that depends upon using my manual transmission 13 years old Toyota Corolla which now needs to have its catalytic converter replaced. The cost for replacement is $1632 at a local repair shop and this is much less expensive than a Toyota dealership service department. I’m aiming to raise $2,500 to include processing costs. As a senior citizen on social security and Medicare, my mobile notary closing business with all of its overhead expenses is my only other income source. I don’t have enough savings for such big maintenance replacement as a catalytic converter. My car has over 200,000 miles on the odometer, but the car has been well maintained.
